Rocco A. Petrozzi, D.P.M.
Dr. Petrozzi came to the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM) in 2008 from the private practice setting. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical Sciences. Originally from eastern Ohio (near Steubenville), Dr. Petrozzi completed his undergraduate education at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Life Science and Biochemistry. After completing his Podiatric Medical Education at the former Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, he completed a 36-month Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at the Youngstown Podiatric Residency Program at Forum Health (WRCS). There he received extensive training in all facets of lower extremity disease management with a special emphasis on the diabetic foot. Dr. Petrozzi is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a member of the American and Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Associations.
Currently, he is affiliated with Euclid Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, Lake Health System, University Hospitals Richmond and Bedford Medical Centers and the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic. Dr. Petrozzi is also the owner of Erie Shores Foot and Ankle Specialists, Inc. in Lake County, Ohio.
Dr. Petrozzi is the primary instructor of the Lower Extremity Assessment and Diagnosis course for first year students and a Podiatric Medicine core course for second year students. Additionally, he is very active in the teaching and coordination of several 2nd and 3rd year courses at KSUCPM in addition to clinical patient care instruction.
In his free time, Dr. Petrozzi enjoys being a dad and spending time with his two young boys.
