The Master of Fashion Industry Studies is designed to set you up for success in the fast-paced world of fashion. It is the only one of its kind in the US. 

You’ll have the opportunity to explore how your creativity fits into the real-world through a hands-on learning experience. Gain an advanced insight into the commercial side of fashion, find innovative ways to tackle industry challenges, and hone your design and merchandising skills. 

It is important that your Master’s is geared towards your own career goals. That is why we enable you to choose an individualized learning path. Through nine credits in diverse areas of Fashion Design and Merchandising, and three credits in coursework of your choice, you can follow your own interests and passions within the fashion industry.


Our school helps to create the next generation of fashion leaders. We recognize that we have a responsibility to ensure we promote a socially responsible class of graduates to drive the industry of the future.

During your course, you’ll work closely with 23 graduate faculty members in the School of Fashion. They are highly recognized by international and national professional associations and have a wide variety of industry experience.

We’re now taking applications for our Master’s program for Fall 2024. To submit your application for our full-time, two-year program, visit the Graduate College Admissions webpage. Please make sure you apply by the following deadline to be considered as a priority applicant:

  • Fall 2024 Admission - Application Deadline is April 15, 2024

We’ll still consider your application if you submit it after the deadline, but spaces will depend on availability.



If you would like to gain work experience and help drive our faculty forward while you study, you can apply for a Graduate Assistantship role.
