What’s it like to study in Paris?
At Paris American Academy (PAA), you’ll get the chance to study in one of the world’s fashion capitals and learn where fashion came from, and where it’s going. You’ll take part in field trips, workshops, lectures, and activities that are designed to expand your understanding of fashion.
Our students also study alongside masters of couture fashion techniques and the European luxury business. And in your free time, you can make the most of PAA’s location in Paris’ historic Latin Quarter by visiting nearby famous sites like the Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame Cathedral.
How will studying in Paris help your career development?
You’ll study with masters of couture fashion techniques and experts in the European luxury business. You’ll also get the chance to specialize in Couture Techniques, Design Process, or Fashion Merchandising and Communication. No matter which one you choose, you’ll take on practical projects like designing a boutique and trends forecasting, and even build sewing skills techniques like Madame Grès that are relevant to your goals and future career.
If you’re taking part in the PAA summer program, you’ll get the chance to attend and assist backstage at Paris Fashion Week shows. You’ll get an exclusive look at the behind-the-scenes world of runway and be able to add that you’ve assisted in a professional fashion show to your resume.
