Kent State University’s Geauga Campus students, staff and faculty had the opportunity to experience ODOT’s Distracted Driving Simulator this past week. The simulator is used as a tool for educating drivers by creating awareness about the hazards of driving while talking on a cell phone or sending text messages.
The simulators were created in 2011 and have been promoted throughout the state as part of a free comprehensive road safety awareness campaign.
If you missed the opportunity, you’ll still be able to try the simulator. It’s scheduled to be at the Regional Academic Center this Wednesday and Thursday, September 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the student lounge.
