Kent State University Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center Scholarships
Kent State University Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center offer many named scholarships. At Kent State University, our number one priority is students. We believe it is important to provide access to higher education for all students, independent of their financial background. The scholarship application for the 2023-2024 academic year will open in the Fall 2022 semester.
List of Available Scholarships and Criteria
In addition, Kent State University - Kent Campus offers a variety of scholarship opportunities as well. Scholarship awards are based on a variety of criteria, including academic merit, demonstrated financial need, field of study, participation in a specific program, membership in an organization or activity, and/or any combination of the above. Review the information at the Kent State University Financial Aid website to identify additional scholarships for which you may qualify.
Please note: The Twinsburg Township and Village of Reminderville J.E.D.D. Scholarship has a separate application from Kent State Geauga’s application process.
Freshman Merit Scholarships
Freshman Merit Scholarships are awarded based on high school academic performance. These scholarships do not require repayment. The merit scholarship awarding deadline has passed for the 22-23 academic year; information for 2023-2024 merit scholarships will be available in early September.
Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at Kent State Geauga and the Twinsburg Academic Center to receive the scholarship.
External Scholarships
Students are encouraged to consider scholarships available outside of Kent State University. Information related to outside scholarships, grants, and/or other resources students receive to help pay education-related expenses must be reported annually to the Student Financial Aid Office.
