Can you believe December is already here? The holidays are right around the corner, so we asked students if there were specific gift ideas they were wishing for that would help them while attending college. A special thank you to nursing major Vladis Alimova, communications major Abby Clarke, and psychology major Cameron Russell for submitting these great ideas!
- Gift cards to the Kent State Bookstore, coffee shops, DoorDash, and Amazon for textbooks
- Kent State swag, such as gloves, hats, blankets, and scarves. These items can be purchased online via the Kent State Bookstore
- Other warm clothing such as a coat or boots to keep us warm while walking around campus
- Snow brushes or snow shields for our vehicles
- A good pair of headphones (e.g., Bose QuietComfort 35) to help students focus when studying
- Wireless earbuds (e.g., AirPods) so students can listen to music around campus but still hear outside noise and be aware of their surroundings
- A tablet (e.g., iPad Air or Pro) so students don't have to use paper, pens, or note cards and all assignments can be completed on it (saves the student money on buying other tangible supplies for school)
- A Rocketbook - a cloud-connected smart notebook
- Holiday gift baskets with snacks and coffee mugs or water bottles
- Portable charger for our phone or other electronics
- A backpack
- Single-serve coffee maker for early mornings
- A reusable water bottle
All of these gift suggestions are perfect ideas for the remote or in-person student taking classes at any time of the year. Happy shopping!
