Join or Start a Student Organization On Campus

Hi everyone, welcome back! As we approach the beginning of the fall semester, I want to tell you about some of the things offered at both Kent State Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center.

There are a number of clubs and organizations already available on campus, but did you know that you can also start your own club or organization? If there is something that interests you that you think would also interest other students you can contact Megan Krippel to get more information on how to create your own club. The current clubs and organizations offered on campus are Artists Unite, Media Club, Esports, Geauga Gardeners, Geauga Student Nurses Association (BSN Students), Student Government, Wellness Club, and National Student Nurses Association (ADN Students).

Creating a club that is relevant to your major is an awesome way to market your major to other students as well as form helpful study groups. If you are not sure if you want to join a club, you may see some events available on campus when the semester begins. Many of these events are hosted by the clubs within the university, so if there is an event that interests you, the club may interest you as well! An event you may see on campus includes Wellness Club’s “stress and time management”. You may also see tables set up for Student Government and Esports quite frequently throughout the semester.

I highly encourage you to join a club or create your own at some point during your time with us at Kent State Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center, you never know what you may find!
