The School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) will host TechConnect 2015, a free, day-long workshop in Franklin Hall on Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event is open to students, faculty and professionals who want to learn how journalism and technology intersect learn cool stuff from tech experts about how journalism and technology intersect, from basic HTML to hardware programming for robotics to data visualization and mapping.
The sessions will be hands on and experiential and are broken into self-contained, one- and two-hour blocks so attendees can easily parachute in and out of individual sections. Attendees can register online at techconnect.io and the first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt and pizza lunch.
