Individuals who complete the ENGR 33031 PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS course will receive an introduction to programmable logic controllers (PLCS) covering hardware, ladder logic programming, networking, and communications. Individuals who complete the EERT 12010 - INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRONICS and courses will be exposed to semiconductor theory, properties, and application of PN junctions and bipolar junction transistors, amplifiers, field effect transistors (FET) amplifiers, JFET and MOSFET biasing and their use in simple circuits.

Individuals who complete the ENGR 33440 ELECTRONIC DEVICES course will receive an introduction to electronic non-linear devices including diodes, transistors, optoelectronic devices, and operational amplifiers. Use and application of these devices in different types of applications like rectifiers, amplifiers, and linear integrated circuits.
