Dr. Jill Folk, associate professor of cognitive psychology, was awarded a grant from the March of Dimes Foundation entitled "Cognitive and Linguistic Skills in Congenitally Deaf Readers". This 3-year project will investigate the cognitive and linguistic skills that underlie the ability to comprehend written language in congenitally deafened readers.
