Kent State University at Stark helps nearly 4,000 students find their passion and develop a roadmap to their future. As Kent State’s largest regional campus, students receive an affordable, university education on a beautiful 200-acre campus with a private college feel. Our student-faculty ratio of 21:1 means Kent State Stark’s 400 faculty and staff are dedicated to encouraging students to achieve their personal and academic goals. Students have the opportunity to begin coursework in more than 360 Kent State world-class programs of study or choose from over 25 bachelor’s, associate and online degrees that can be completed entirely at the Stark Campus. Stark County’s only public university, Kent State Stark was founded in 1946 and continues today improving the quality of life for this region, spurring a total economic impact in Northeast Ohio of $124.5 million.


DEGREES, MAJORS & MINORS

Students attending Kent State Stark can complete more than 25 bachelor's, online and associate degrees, and more than 30 minors. Students can also begin coursework in 360+ world-class programs of study at Kent State University. Learn more about Kent State Stark's degrees, majors and minors.


ENROLLMENT

Kent State Stark serves 4,000 students year-round. 750 high school students from the Stark County area take advantage of the College Credit Plus program.

FACULTY

Kent State Stark has 250 faculty. The majority of full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. or a terminal degree in their field. All instructors hold at least a master's degree in their teaching field and Kent State Stark does not have graduate assistants teaching classes. The student-faculty ratio is 21-to-1; allowing dedicated professors to work closely with students, helping them achieve success inside the classroom and beyond.


CULTURAL EVENTS

Kent State Stark offers more than 50 cultural events in the Stark County region, including the Featured Speakers Series, which brings national and international experts in civil rights, politics, education, literature, entertainment and arts to campus. CONFERENCE CENTER

The Kent State Stark Conference Center is an advanced meeting and events facility and is among the few in the state to receive the stringent accreditation of the International Association of Conference Centers. Skilled multimedia specialists attend to every detail of corporate meetings and events, and expert event planning and catering staff guarantee memorable experiences at the many luncheons, fundraisers and dinners held at the center. CORPORATE UNIVERSITY

Located in the Conference Center, the Corporate University provides area organizations and businesses with training and certifications in leadership, management, supervision and project management.
