Kent State University at Stark is transformed into “Boo U” on Oct. 26 for an evening of family-friendly fun.
Kent State Stark will host the ninth annual educational fall celebration for elementary school-aged children from 5 to 7 p.m. at its campus, 6000 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Township. Boo U is free and open to the public.
Children can trick or treat at stations designed and decorated by Kent State Stark student organizations. Trick-or-treating starts at the main parking lot off Frank Avenue NW.
The event also features several family-oriented activities, including games, a photo station and more. During the “Swamp Walk,” families are invited to tour the pond and learn about wetland research by Kent State Stark students.
Children are invited to enter the Boo U coloring contest for a chance to win a backpack filled with prizes. Visit the event webpage, located at www.kent.edu/stark/boo-u-fall-festival, and bring completed artwork to any event table. Winners will be selected and contacted during the week following the event.
Some candy distributed during this event may contain nuts, eggs, soy, wheat, gluten, milk products and other food allergens. Parents are encouraged to dress children appropriately, as activities take place outside – rain or shine.
