Kent State University at Stark Students Raise Money for Akron Children's Hospital Heart Patients

Spending days, weeks or longer in a hospital bed can be miserable if you’re a kid. Members of Kent State University at Stark’s Student Leadership and Allocations Board (SLAB) did their part to make future patients’ stays more bearable. The organization collected and donated $400 to Akron Children’s Hospital’s Heart Center to provide movies for their DVD collection.

“Akron Children's Hospital depends on the generosity of our friends in the community as we strive to provide the finest medical care while providing a positive experience for our patients and their families. The generous donation from SLAB to Akron Children's will be used to purchase items, like DVDs, to entertain our patients during lengthy testing and procedures,” says Pam Holtz, director of the Office of Corporate Alliances for the hospital.
