A solar-powered panel is providing LED lighting for a Kent Campus bus shelter located near the east end of SummitKent State University has taken an aggressive approach to its energy conservation program. The comprehensive methodology demonstrates Kent State's stewardship of public funding, responsible cost containment for its students, and environmental impact reduction. A comprehensive, Renewable Energy Master Plan was completed to responsibly and efficiently apply appropriate renewable energy methods throughout Kent State University's eight campuses. Renewable energy deployment is the next logical step to this plan.
