Donald J. Miller was director of management consulting at SecureState LLC. He was responsible for the utility vertical, delivering cyber security strategies and compliance with regulatory standards such as Sarbanes Oxley, Critical Infrastructure Protection, eDiscovery and sensitive customer information. 

Mr. Miller has received the “Employee Recognition for Technology Excellence” award for technology contributions to FirstEnergy. He has been recognized by the industry for his leadership in wireless technology, secure remote access, and threat intelligence in an electrical substation environment with the EPRI Team Award in 2008, 2013 and 2015. He was also recognized in September 2015 for his leadership and contributions to cyber security research on behalf of the electric utility industry with a “Power Delivery and Utilization Sector Recognition Award.”

Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in technology, a Master's degree in computer science and an executive MBA from Kent State University. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, an organization that supports many charitable activities within the African American community.
