Mission:
Kent State’s College of Arts and Sciences Pre-Law Center introduces students to the practice of law and helps provide guidance as they prepare to apply to law school. Students receive focused advising, professional mentorship, and educational opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the legal profession.
Vision:
A critical focus of the center is to position students to make a significant difference in the legal profession and as a community leader.
Students will:
- learn the significant role lawyers make in protecting the rights of their clients
- learn how to assist in aspects of mediation and negotiation
- learn the interpretation of rulings and regulations
- learn to shape public affairs
- gain an understanding of the importance of public service and active citizenship
The end goal will be to create students dedicated to advancing justice for all.
