Academics
Law School admissions do not have a required bachelor’s degree, so interested students can major in any content area and course of study. Students also have the option to consider the 3 Plus 3 Accelerated Law Degree Program alongside their major.
3 Plus 3 Accelerated Law Degree Program
Kent State University has partnered with three Northeast Ohio Law Schools (University of Akron Law, Cleveland Marshall School of Law, and Case Western University School of Law) to create an accelerated pathway to law school. Interested students will follow a three-year set degree plan based on one of almost 20 different major options. In their first three years, they will take general education and major requirements. Prior to their third year, interested students will apply to their law school(s) of interest. Once accepted to their law school of interest, students will use their fourth year of undergraduate education for law school courses.
