Kent State University at East Liverpool held a pinning ceremony for the students who met the requirements for the associate of applied science degree in physical therapist assistant technology for 2019. What made this ceremony a bit more special is that this is the 30th graduating class of the program on the East Liverpool Campus.
During the ceremony, several students were recognized for academic and clinical excellence.
Avery McGuire received the Outstanding PTA Graduate award. Jordyn Midcap was recognized for receiving the outstanding academic achievement award and Devan Houshour for receiving the outstanding student service award.
Recognized for Clinical Distinction were Paige Bosworth, Tiffani Ross and Jordyn Midcap.
Additionally, four students were awarded for completing a 40-day challenge of committed studies throughout the clinical rotation. They included Lacie Graham, Jordyn Midcap, Cassandra Weaver and Keith Dopp.
Cutline A: Each student received a special stole, recognizing the 30th anniversary of the PTA program at Kent State East Liverpool.
