A series of photographs by Dr. Jack Vazzana, associate professor of sociology, will be featured in an exhibit at the Kent State East Liverpool Art Gallery, located in the Mary Patterson Building. Titled “Gotcha,” the show opens with a reception on April 11, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Vazzana is a visual sociologist whose pictures “explore iconic, existential meaning in American culture, challenging the viewer to see beyond the obvious.” This is his 14th show and his works emphasize the exciting world of giclee-digital photography.
The “Gotcha” exhibit will be open to the public and displayed in the Art Gallery through April 25. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Mary Patterson Building, 213 E. Fourth St., and is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
