Library Jam For Mojo A Big Success

A large crowd recently gathered in the Blair Memorial Library at Kent State University’s East Liverpool campus for “Library Jam for Mojo,” an evening of musical entertainment provided by area musicians in support of the Team Mojo Foundation.

The community event featured local performers Doug and Dave Smith, Bob Walker, Bill Crawford and Bernie Schmidbauer.  Proceeds will benefit the charity’s free music lesson initiative which permits underprivileged children interested in music receive lessons given by professionals at DC Music in Calcutta.

Team Mojo Foundation is a volunteer based nonprofit organization focused on creating opportunities for area youth in way of support, guidance and financial assistance. The foundation is funded by generous donations from individuals, businesses and grants, as well as their own fundraising efforts. For more information on Team Mojo please contact Bill Crawford at 330-386-3939 or by e-mail at bill@teammojofoundation.org.

Kent State Librarian Susan Weaver was thrilled to see more than 100 people seated comfortably in the library enjoying a concert performed by some of East Liverpool’s most talented musicians. “We were very excited to have a large turnout. It was evident that our community fully supports our local musicians and charities,” she said. “In the future, we hope to hold many more concerts and events that celebrate the arts.”
