The Department of Psychological Sciences at Kent State University invites applications for a tenure track position for the 2017-2018 academic year. The position is open rank. We seek an excellent scholar in any of the following fields: Adult Clinical, Behavioral Neuroscience, or Clinical Health. Candidates who fit with our focus on enhancing interdisciplinary and translational approaches to the study of mental and physical health are preferred. We welcome applicants who approach these problems from any level of analysis (e.g., from animal models to clinical interventions).
Our faculty are highly productive scholars who collaborate extensively. The department offers outstanding research support and highly ranked doctoral programs in a collegial atmosphere. Successful candidates should have an exemplary record of research productivity, including external research support and publications reporting original research in leading journals, a record of teaching effectiveness, and a commitment to mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. Ph.D. in any area of Psychology or Neuroscience is required.
