Biography
Dr. Ashley Galati teaches General Psychology along with courses related to Cognition, Development, and Learning at the undergraduate level. In her research, Dr. Galati examines cognitive development. She is interested in how infants and children organize information to create meaning to their experiences, and how this impacts their ability to understand and learn about their world. She has published on infants’ understanding of faces (including race and emotion) and bodies (including gender, emotion, and structure), as well as the way in which perceptual organization heuristics are applied in infancy.
