Golden Eagles Men’s Basketball Earns First USCAA National Championship Tournament Bid

The Kent State University at Tuscarawas Golden Eagles men’s basketball team will make their first appearance in the United States College Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship Tournaments on Monday, March 7, at 8 p.m., at Virginia University in Richmond.

The Golden Eagles have secured the No. 9 overall seed in the USCAA Coaches Poll and will face Southwestern Adventist University of Dallas in tournament action.

Kent State Tuscarawas is one of seven teams to receive an at-large bid and join three automatic qualifiers from the Penn State University Athletic Conference, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Yankee Small College Conference.

Tournament play begins March 7th at 6 p.m. in the 6100 seat Multi-Purpose Center at VSU. A first-round loss eliminates a team from championship contention, but all teams are guaranteed a minimum of two games in the tournament. Consolation brackets will match losing teams with the chance to play for third and fourth place overall.
