Kent State University has been closely monitoring the recent developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on students at all Kent State campuses.
After careful review, and to minimize the potential spread of the coronavirus, Kent State has determined that it is in the best interests of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans to indefinitely suspend all athletic-related activities. Effective immediately, all intercollegiate athletics activities at Kent State Tuscarawas shall cease. During the suspension of athletic activities, no athletic contests, practices or training will take place, including at non-University affiliated facilities.
Kent State Tuscarawas Athletic Director Rob Brindley has issued the following statement:
"I agree with Kent State University's decision to cancel all athletic competition through the end of the spring semester. Our campus will continue to provide academic support to our student athletes as the campus transitions to remote instruction. The health, well-being and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff is of utmost importance as the University continues to monitor the COVID-19 virus."
