Virtual Student Research Colloquium Held

Kent State University at Tuscarawas student research projects were showcased during the Virtual Student Research Colloquium on April 5.

During the fall semester, Kent State Tuscarawas students were given the opportunity to submit a research proposal to the Student Affairs Committee which reviews and funds the proposals. Once selected, students work with a faculty mentor on rigorous and meaningful undergraduate research.

This year’s colloquium showcased the research of eight students with three projects. The faculty mentors who partnered with the students include engineering technology faculty Dr. Dhruba Panthi, Tim Fritz and Turan Koptur, and sociology faculty Dr. Adrian Jones

The 2020-2021 Student Research Colloquium Projects are:

Title:  “Mini Printer for Nail Arts”
Presenter: Annie Quan (Engineering Technology)
Mentor: Dr. Dhruba Panthi

Title: “An Exploration of Sociological Factors Predicting Rape and Child Molestation”
