Mission

Academic advising in the College of Arts and Sciences supports the university advising mission. Advisors provide services that further the growth and development of our students as they work towards achieving their educational goals. In addition, advising is a collaborative effort shared by advisors, faculty, and students that promotes lifelong learning and creates independent and responsible global citizens.

Vision

As the College of Arts and Sciences Office of Undergraduate Advising and Student Services, we are committed to promoting student success and independence by:

• Providing a welcome and open environment where students gain an understanding of the importance and value of academic advising.
• Creating and supporting co-curricular services and programs that enhance the liberal arts educational experience.
• Fostering collaborative relationships within the college, university, and surrounding community.
• Assessing services and practices to strive for continuous improvement.
