Parent/Guardian Approval

Students under the age of 18 at the time of applying for housing will need a parent/guardian (cosigner) to sign the housing contract first. Students will not be able to complete the housing contract until the cosigner completes the Minor Contract Proxy Agreement. This agreement contractually binds the student and cosigner to the contract, including all payment obligations. 

The parent/guardian approval process is located within the University Housing portal. Students will be prompted to add their proxy's information.

Student Steps:

1. Follow the link above to access the housing application. 
2. Accept the Residence Hall Contract for Room and Meal Plan.
3. Click the "Add" button to identify the Parent/Guardian who will be your cosigner. 

Parent/Guardian Steps:

1. Check for an email with the subject line: Housing Contract Signature Required
2. Click the unique link provided for you and read over the agreement.
3. Enter your information including your student's KSU ID number. The information must match exactly with the information in your email. 

After your Parent/Guardian completes the Minor Contract Proxy Agreement, the student will receive an email to return and complete the contract.
