Summer Housing
Summer housing is available to all Kent State students who will be taking summer classes and/or who are enrolled for fall classes. Summer housing for 2025 will be located in Leebrick Hall and the first floor of Centennial Court C. All summer housing rooms will be single rooms.
Rates include:
- Leebrick Hall Single Room: $200 per week
- Centennial Court C Single Room with Shared Bathroom: $250 per week (very limited availability)
University Housing is offering a 25% discount on the housing room rate to those who live on campus for the entire summer (Sunday, May 11-Satruday, August 2). This discount will be calculated and applied to the Summer Room Rate when the Summer Housing charges are added the student's Bursar Account.
Summer housing is contracted on a weekly basis, starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday each week. You may add or remove weeks from your summer housing application at any point by contacting us no later than Friday at 12 PM before each summer week begins. Students who reside on campus during the spring semester will be able to move directly into their summer housing assignment if they are contracted for the first week of summer housing. All residence hall policies will remain in effect throughout the summer.
Summer housing will end on Saturday, August 2nd. Students who have signed up to live on campus during the upcoming academic year will be able to move into their fall room at this time or as soon as their fall room is ready. Students who are not living on campus during the fall semester must to move out of on-campus housing by or on Saturday, August 2nd.
Due to the nature of operations on campus during the summer, some interruptions in services may occur.
Campus Wide Power Outage:
On June 19, 2025, the university will conduct major repairs on the university’s electrical grid. This scheduled maintenance will result in a complete power outage from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., totaling approximately 13 hours. Students will maintain access to their assigned residence hall rooms during their outage. However, it is important to note that there will be no lighting, HVAC, or other electrical services available in the building during this time. Students should plan accordingly for this timeframe.
If you have applied for Summer Housing, your housing assignment will be sent out the Friday before your Summer Contract is set to begin. If you have additional questions related to summer housing, please contact Ashley Andrews, Assignments Coordinator, aandre25@kent.edu.
The Summer 2025 Housing Application goes live on April 1, 2025.
