ABOUT THIS MAJOR
This program can teach you what it takes to bring ideas to life as part of a digital environment and help you develop the skills you need to succeed in digital media, digital effects, animation and game design careers. Students who would like to pursue this major should have some experience with games and game interfaces, along with some basic drawing skills and an understanding of 3D modeling and animation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
Graduates of this program will be able to create and animate digital images, combining elements to create game environments, training simulations and other applications for education and entertainment. They will have the skills to edit, add special effects and tailor digital presentations for computers, smart phones and game consoles.
