Center for Student Involvement’s Awards Ceremony Recognizes Student Leaders

Kent State Holds Student Leadership and Honors Awards

Kent State University’s Center for Student Involvement hosted the 37th annual Student Leadership and Honors Awards on April 8 in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. The event celebrates and recognizes student leaders, organizations and advisors for their contributions to the Kent State community during the current academic year.

Any student, faculty, or staff member at the university is able to submit an awards nomination for any of the categories. A selection committee reviews the nominations and determines the winners.

In addition to recognizing some of Kent State’s student leaders, the 2014-15 elected directors and senators of Undergraduate Student Government took the oath of office and Brian Cannon, executive director, delivered his inaugural address.

“It’s so great to see our student leaders and student organizations come together to be recognized for their accomplishments,” said Katie Goldring, assistant director for the Center for Student Involvement at Kent State. “These individuals and groups work so hard throughout the year, and they deserve to be honored.”
