CANTON REGIONAL AHEC
The Canton Regional Area Health Education Center (CRAHEC) serves eight counties in Ohio: Stark, Ashland, Carroll, Crawford, Holmes, Richland, Tuscarawas and Wayne.
CRAHEC coordinates educational activities in community settings for area health professions students based on the assessment of local resources, area health personnel needs and the interests of each community.
In addition, CRAHEC develops and enriches training opportunities for medical and pharmacy students, nursing, and other allied health professional students in interprofessional settings and provides workforce development health career pipeline programs for health professional training. The center also provides leadership to develop and coordinate regional educational interventions targeted for local health care professionals with special emphasis on rural health practitioners.
