AHEC Scholars Program

The AHEC Scholars Program is a two-year national program of distinction for students interested in health care careers.

Student stipends are available.

AHEC SCHOLARS IS ABOUT

• Understanding the health issues in communities that are considered rural and urban underserved
• Innovative learning opportunities to address patient-centered health care
• Interdisciplinary, team-based experiences to help you "stand out" from the crowd

ELIGIBILITY

• Sophomore- or junior-level student
• Interest in a health career
• Desire to serve communities that lack appropriate health care

• Resume
• Letter of recommendation
