Newly Accepted Students

Congratulations, You're a Golden Flash!

Now that you are a Kent State Tuscarawas student, you have access to your student portal called FlashLine. The username and password information you need to access FlashLine for the first time is in your acceptance packet.

FlashLine contains lots of important information, including your financial aid award, access to your Kent State email, and eventually your bill.  Also in FlashLine is a Student Checklist personalized with your next steps in the enrollment process.  Be sure to review your Student Checklist frequently- new items may be added as they become due.

Sign in to FlashLine

You will find important information in our student portal, FlashLine. You can access FlashLine from any Kent State website by clicking on the lightning bolt icon in the top navigation bar. To login for the first time, select First time user? Start here.

Once you're logged into FlashLine, you can view your Student Checklist from the My Lists button in the top navigation bar.

Review your student checklist

Your Student Checklist will identify items you need to complete like placement testing and applying for financial aid. Follow the instructions listed in your Student Checklist in FlashLine.

Check your Kent State email

Depending on your student type, we will email you instructions on your next steps, so check your Kent State email frequently.

Registering for Classes

New first-year students must attend a KSU Advising & Registration session, during which you’ll become oriented to the campus, learn more about financial aid, review your placement test results and schedule your first-semester classes. All placement testing must be completed prior to attending.

You will receive an invitation to register for KSU Advising & Registration at the email address you provided on your application for admission.

New transfer students can make an academic advising appointment through the Navigate App

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is held each August to welcome new students and their families to our campus. The day includes fun and informative sessions for students and parents and ends with games and lunch!  An abbreviated New Student Orientation is held in January for students starting in the Spring semester.
