The Kent State University Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, which will be conducted electronically as permitted under Amended Substitute House Bill 197. The sole purpose of the special board meeting is to consider a proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement between Kent State and Kent State University Employees Local 153, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). The Board will retire into executive session during the meeting to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.” No committee meetings will be held.
