The first step to taking control of your health is to “Know Your Numbers.” Join us on Aug. 19 from noon-1 p.m. in the Heer Hall Training Room for an educational look at what numbers can tell you about what is happening inside your body. You will come away with a better understanding of what numbers such as blood pressure, cholesterol and BMI mean.
This month’s presenter, Robin Conaway, holds a M.S. in Health Education and is currently a health and wellness coordinator with Medical Mutual of Ohio. Prior to joining Medical Mutual, Conaway served as the employee wellness director at Virginia Tech.
The Lunch and Learn programs are sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and are held in conjunction with Impact, the university’s employee assistance program. The hour-long programs are free and open to faculty and staff. However, seating is limited and reservations are required. Employees will have the opportunity to purchase pre-packaged healthy lunches to enjoy during the presentation. If you would like to order a lunch, you must do so before Thursday, Aug. 15.
