The first Annual Northeast Ohio Undergraduate Sociology Symposium (NEOUSS) will be next Saturday (March 1st 2014) from 8am-5pm at the KSU Student Center (3rd floor). We have nearly 70 student presenters coming from over 25 colleges and universities in northeast Ohio (and beyond). In total, we anticipate about 100-150 people in attendance for the day.
Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Melinda Messineo of Ball State University and we will also be honoring Dr. Betsy Lucal of IUPUI, this year's recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Teaching Award. Dr. Jerry Lewis (Emeritus Professor of Sociology) will also be leading a group of students and faculty to the May 4th Visitor's Center immediately after the closing reception on March 1st.
If you want to attend, you can register online via the website. You can also register and pay the morning of the conference. If you just plan on stopping by and not eating, there is no charge.
