America was watching as Kent State dominated Akron 69-35 to retain the coveted Wagon Wheel in the annual clash of football rivals at Dix Stadium.
ESPN carried the Nov. 17 game to a national prime time audience, which saw the Golden Flashes win their seventh straight game going back to last year while pushing their season record to 3-0.
This was the 50th meeting for the Wagon Wheel trophy. Kent State now leads the all-time Wagon Wheel series 25-24-1.
