Coach and players available for interviews prior to celebration event
WHAT:
Kent State University will honor its baseball team with a “Season of Champions” event on Thursday, June 28, in the Kent Student Center Ballroom for its historic run, making it to the College World Series for the first time in school history. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a presentation beginning at 7 p.m.
Prior to the celebration, 2012 Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year Scott Stricklin and members of the team will be available to the media for interviews from 5:15 p.m.-5:45 p.m. in Room 204 of the Kent Student Center.
Herb Page, men’s golf head coach and director of golf at Kent State, also will be available to discuss the great season of the Kent State men’s golf team, which advanced to the match-play portion of the NCAA Championship and secured the highest finish in school history by tying for 5th in the nation.

5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. – “Season of Champions” celebration with meet-and-greet and autograph signing @ Kent Student Center Ballroom (second floor of the Kent Student Center)
7 p.m. – presentation begins on stage @ Kent Student Center Ballroom
Media parking is available in front of the MAC Center. Due to construction in front of the student center, what used to be the one-way exit of Risman Drive will serve as your entrance.
