Dear Kent State University Students, Faculty and Staff,
Spring brings many things to Northeast Ohio: warmer weather, budding flowers and trees, and groups gathering on campus to present their beliefs and causes.
Please know that as a public university we must, by law, allow individuals and groups to practice their freedom of speech. Click the following link to read and learn more about our event and activities requirements.
Most likely, we will be aware of a group gathering on campus and will have taken steps to address logistical and safety issues. However, if you have a concern about a gathering, please contact the Division of Student Affairs at 330-672-4050. Of course, if you have a public safety concern about a gathering on campus, please call Kent State Police at 330-672-2212.
Let’s finish the semester strong, which includes taking advantage of all student resources through the end of the semester, including the Academic Success Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, Step Up and Speak Out, and the Office of the Student Ombuds.
Faculty and staff can find resources and services through IMPACT Solutions.
Here’s to spring and the approaching end of the semester. Thank you for all that you do to make Kent State such a great place to live, work and study. Because of your genuine care and support of one another, we can all be proud to be Golden Flashes.
Sincerely,
Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President for Student Affairs
Mark M. Polatajko, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration
