Kent State Celebrates 2015 Homecoming With Parade, Events and Football Game Win

This year's Homecoming was a fun-filled weekend of events that included the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Homecoming Parade and a football win against the Miami RedHawks, 20-14. This year’s homecoming featured Kent State alumnus and Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman as the Parade Grand Marshal.

Family and friends gathered before the football game at the new Tailgate Party at Dix Stadium. A great event for any Golden Flash, the gathering featured a food truck, face painting area, games and a chance to win prizes.

Other highlights of the day included open houses at the May 4 Visitors Center; new Center for the Visual Arts; the Student Recreation and Wellness Center; College of Education, Health and Human Services; College of Nursing; and tours of downtown aboard Lolly the Trolley, a Flash Photo Zone and a faculty lecture on the “Flapper Fashions of the 1920s.”

Kent State Board of Trustees Approves Updated Complete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan, Sets Fall Tuition

The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved the updated Kent State Complete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan as part of a state and institutional commitment to increase dramatically the number of college degrees awarded in Ohio. The plan was approved during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 22.
