Webinar on Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) adopted the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)

Significant changes are coming soon to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) adopted the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The GHS includes criteria for the classification of health, physical and environmental hazards, as well as specifying what information should be included on labels of hazardous chemicals and safety data sheets.

ChemWatch will present two webinars to explain how these changes will affect hazard communications. ChemWatch is recognized globally as the most comprehensive MSDS Management and Chemicals Management repository, with over 13 million MSDS available.

The webinar dates are:
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

All Kent State University faculty and staff are encouraged to attend either webinar for an introduction to GHS, its implementation and timelines.

Additional information about the webinar will be communicated as the date approaches.
