The Center for Student Involvement and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics are welcoming back the Kent State University community in a big way. To kick off the academic year, students, faculty and staff are invited to enjoy a week packed full of food, giveaways and some Kent State pride!
From Aug. 29 through Sept. 2, Kent State students are encouraged to stop by Risman Plaza between classes to meet new people and to take part in the excitement of the first week of classes.
Whether it’s stocking up on school supplies or picking up some new Kent State gear, there will be something for everyone. Take a picture with our beloved mascot Flash, and meet some Kent State athletes, coaches and cheerleaders.
Each day will feature a different food and freebie!
All events will take place on Risman Plaza at various times. Giveaways are for the first 500 people, and food will be available while supplies last.
Welcome Back Week culminates on everyone’s favorite day of the week: Blue and Gold Friday. It’s as simple as it sounds – wear something blue and gold each and every Friday. Challenge your friends, professors and colleagues to participate, and make Kent State pride and school spirit “what you do.”
