Students Assist Kent Fire Department with Snow Removal

Several Kent State University students from Phi Kappa Tau and Alpha Phi Omega teamed up with WKYC Channel 3 and the Kent Fire Department to help clear snow and ice from around fire hydrants throughout the city.

In its 2024 Best Colleges analysis of more than 700 four-year colleges, Money ranked Kent State as the most affordable college in Ohio. 

In 2020, Kent State University President Todd Diacon announced to a group of high school juniors and their families that Kent State would cover four years of tuition costs and one year of room and board. Now, for the LeBron James Family Foundation’s first I PROMISE class, the hard work these students had put in since third grade is paying off. 

The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved the updated Kent State Complete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan as part of a state and institutional commitment to increase dramatically the number of college degrees awarded in Ohio. The plan was approved during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 22.
