Take your education a step further by applying to the Kent State Trumbull Honors Program!

KENT STATE TRUMBULL HONORS PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

Incoming Students

• 3.5 cumulative high school GPA
• A holistic evaluation that considers a combination of factors such as the high school GPA, a student’s decision to take rigorous coursework, application essay, extracurricular activities, leadership experiences, and other achievements.

Current Students

• 3.25 cumulative college GPA
• Strong reading and writing skills

Applying to the Honors Program

• First-year students who meet the criteria above will receive an email invitation to apply to the Honors Program upon acceptance to Kent State Trumbull and should complete the application before their First Step date.
  • To apply, log in to your applicant portal and view your decision letter for your Honors Program application link.
  • Complete the brief application and essay and submit. A decision will be sent to you via email.
  • Deadline to apply for spring students is Dec. 2. Deadline to apply for summer/fall students is July 31.
• Current Kent State Trumbull students expressing a strong interest in the Honors Program are welcome to apply to the Honors Program. Contact Dr. Maria Niza Licuanan-Galela at mlicuana@kent.edu for instructions.
