More than 700 friend and family were on-hand as Kent State University at Trumbull hosted its Commencement Ceremony on Saturday evening, May 12. Close to 100 of the Nearly 160 students earning their associate or bachelor's degrees were honored during the ceremony, held in Packard Music Hall.

Crychelle Portis-Hurlbert, who graduated with an Associate of Science degree, served as the student speaker. She is an alumnus of Warren G. Harding High School, currently works as corrections officer at an Ohio State Penitentiary, and continues to pursue a Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies-Applied Business degree.
Additionally, Marvin Logan, Kent State alumnus and transition coordinator for Inspiring Minds, presented each graduate with a Kent State University Alumni Association pin and formally welcomed them into the ever-growing family of Kent State Alumni.
