On Monday, Oct. 3, "Ottoman Ties: European Art Music from Former Ottoman Lands and Viennese Ottoman Representations" will be performed by Katherine Meizel (Bowling Green State University), Eve McPherson (Kent State University at Trumbull), and Ralitsa Georgieva-Smith (Cleveland Institute of Music). The concert of classical vocal and piano features music by composers from Bulgaria, Turkey, and Sephardic communities, as well as Ottoman-inspired music by Mozart.
The performance is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the performance begin at 7:30 p.m. Kent State University at Trumbull’s Auditorium is located in the Classroom/Administration Building, 4314 Mahoning Ave. N.W in Warren.
