A Message From the Dean

As we look back at the close of the academic year and the challenges we faced, it is important to reflect on our achievements, celebrate our successes, and renew our shared commitment to Kent State Trumbull's mission—to transform lives through the power of education.

Our Spring Commencement Ceremony honored our graduates and their families and welcomed them into our family of more than 270,000 living alumni worldwide.  It is a testament to their relentless determination and resilience in the face of challenges and adversity. Many of our students balance the demands of full-time or part-time work, raising families, and navigating significant life events while pursuing their education. Their ability to overcome these challenges with grace and perseverance is truly inspiring.

Please take a moment to read through our newsletter to discover how our students, faculty and staff are making a difference in the Mahoning Valley.

Kent State Trumbull along with all of our Regional Campuses continue to support our communities and look for ways to make an even more significant impact. In addition to our many degrees, we have added certificate programs to ensure learners of all stages in their journeys can capitalize on their assets and unlock their career potential. We will continue to pursue programs like these that link directly to our mission to transform lives and communities through the power of discovery, learning, and creative expression.

Lastly, thank YOU – the alumni, friends and supporters of the Trumbull Campus. Without your support we could not accomplish the work we do here. On behalf of the leadership team, thank you for all that you do each day to impact our students, our campus and our communities. As always, please let us know if you have questions about our campus or ideas for new programming. We are your Kent State in the Valley.

I wish you all the best for the coming summer. May you find time to rest, relax and recharge.

Sincerely,

Bill Ayres, Ph.D.
