College Credit Plus
True College Experience
The College Credit Plus Program (CCP) at Kent State University is designed to provide qualified 7th- through 12th-grade students the opportunity to enhance their high school education with a true college experience.
Students accepted to the CCP program typically select courses from the Kent State University’s Kent Core Requirements. They may take as few as one course in a semester or a maximum of 30 semester credit hours per academic year.
The subject matter of a course enrolled in under the college credit plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon college credit plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs.
COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS INFORMATION SESSIONS
Kent State Ashtabula will partner with area school districts to offer College Credit Plus information sessions throughout the academic year. Students and parents should plan to attend the session established especially for their school district as district personnel will be present. Check the schedule for dates and times, or listen to your school announcements for details. Sessions at the high schools usually are anywhere from November- February of the academic year.
