Every day, you hear from the WKSU news staff - and now we want to hear from you! Join Andrew Meyer, Kabir Bhatia, Ele Ellis and others for WKSU's Community Conversations at Kent State University's Ashtabula Campus on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. WKSU's Community Conversations are intended to be robust dialogues and community gatherings focused on regional issues and topics that deserve special attention.

Each free event takes place in a different part of WKSU's coverage area and includes a meet and greet with WKSU reporters and staff followed by an open discussion centered on specific concerns of those living in the host cities. For this event, join WKSU News Director Andrew MeyerReporter Kabir BhatiaProgram Director Ele Ellis and others. Even though there will be a focus on the counties nearest the venues, everyone is invited to any or all events and welcome to contribute concerns specific to their area.

Add your ideas to the list at WKSU's Community Conversations in Ashtabula on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy refreshments before sitting down for the dialogue and offering your point-of-view on important challenges facing people in Ashtabula County.

A recent articulation agreement between Kent State University’s College of Applied and Technical Sciences (CATS) and the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science provides a seamless pathway for students to earn a Bachelor of Mortuary Science degree. To help industry professionals, educators and students understand the benefits of this partnership, an informational gathering is scheduled for Sept. 29 on the Kent State Ashtabula Campus from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Susan J. Stocker Hall.

Upskill at Kent State Launches this Fall

Kent State University’s Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today’s workplace. The program, titled “Upskill at Kent State – Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,” is part of a statewide initiative at all eight Kent State locations across the Regional Campus System.

Kent State University at Ashtabula has announced its Dean’s List and President’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.

President’s List criteria are a 4.00 grade point and at least 15 letter-graded (A, B, etc.) credit hours completed by the end of the semester. Requirements for the Dean’s List include a 3.40 grade point average or above for the semester and at least 12 letter-graded credit hours completed by the end of the semester.
