Kent State Trumbull announces new bowling team

On Tuesday, Kent State Trumbull officially added Women’s and Men’s Bowling to its athletic program. Dale Johnson of Champion was named head coach.

Johnson has competed at state and national levels since he was 18. He began coaching Champion High School in 2010 and became head coach in 2014, the same year they won an Ohio High School Athletic Association state title.

The campus revived its athletic program in 2017 with Women’s and Men’s Cross Country.

“We want to offer local student-athletes an inexpensive option to earn a degree from Kent State University while they continue doing what they love,” said  Dr. Daniel Palmer, Interim Dean and Chief Administrative Officer, Kent State Trumbull. “This is an exciting time on campus as we continue to grow our array of athletic programs and student organizations.”
